As we all know, Apple does not like Flash. iTouches and iPads are not Adobe Flash compatible, so it is imperative for Apple (well realistically with sales where they are at it's not that imporotant) that HTML5 becomes stable and reliable. Currently the majority of browsers support HTML5 and Google is now officially supporting it on it's Android phones. With the ability to run multimedia on a page, it most certainly could be the next step in internet evolution.

Before the end of a console cycle, it's not unusual for there new models of a console to be released (unless your Microsoft). Yet, with the exception of handhelds, not many consoles have had a full assortment of colors. Nintendo isn't really making any exceptions. With the release of the black wiimotes, it would only be a matter of time until the console had a different color take. For those who don't own a Wii yet, not really any new reason to get one. PS3 Finally Profitable

Joel.R

Is it possible that Sony wasn't mistaken in their cockiness when they said people should pay more for the PS3, well not really. With that said, Sony is at a loss for every PS3 unit sold (when the console launched Sony lost $241 to $301). Sony has begun using a new 40nm RSX GPU instead of the 65nm. What this means to the consumer is that there will be less power usage, lower temperatures, and system durability.

Live streaming media is a convience that is so integrated with everything tech related now, that it's unfathomable to conceive a time without it. Yet there was. There probably aren't too many modern gamers familiar with the NES game Rad Racers. It most certainly wasn't the most remarkable title, however it did have one intersting feature, the ability to be in 3D. It seems that the 3D fad is coming back full force, and Sony is picking up on it. While not all games coming up will utilize the feature (and in the beginning will be limited), developers will have the ability to choose which productions will be in 3D.

When Sony, in all their cockiness in the beginning of the current gen console wars, said that people need to pay more for the PS3; they weren't kidding. Sony was losing $241 to $301 per unit when the PS3 first launched. However with the advent of the 40nm RSX GPU, PS3 costs will be significantly lower. Yet Sony will not be the only ones to profit, there will be a significat reduction in power consumption and temperature along with a longer lifespan to the lucky owners of the updated Slims.

The ability to download games online is a miraculous thing. No longer do gamers have to go into the cruel sun scorched wilderness to seek the games they desperately need. Yet, those who need a more epic experience that would take gigs of disc space to store still will need to traverse the plains of the outdoors. Yet thanks to Aksys Games, this might be a thing of the past. Aksys Games recently announced they will release Record of Agarest War to the PSN which will have a 10GB download size.

When the PS3 was first announced, the technology behind it was so overwhelmingly hyped, that it was not difficult to have tremendous expectations. Fortunately, Sony has not failed to deliver technology that has been an invaluable part of the folding@home project. It is also crucial to mention that the Cell Processor is considerably cheaper then other manufacturer equivalents With that information in hand the Air Force has started procuring PS3s to experiment.

NATAL Rumored to be $200

There has been much speculation on the price of the upcoming NATAL for the 360, but a Scandinavian site has listed the price to be 1499kr, when converted is $191. Microsoft has not issued any statement. It is also important to take this news with a grain of salt as video games tend to be far more expensive in Europe. For example a $60 game in the states is roughly $80 in various other countries (including Scandinavia). So interesting speculation but certainly nothing definite.

16 Halo 2 Players Remain

For quite sometime, the Xbox has been considered a little outdated. Yet not old enough for gamers to give up on their favorite games and consoles. In March Microsoft finally decided to end classic XBox Live Support. However 20 or so gamers refused to let their Halo 2's die and continue to play as we speak. With them constantly online, Microsoft cannot fully turn off the service until all players stop. The only reason four have dropped is from overheating consoles.

Surfer Girl (an industry expert whose had a fair share of accurate predictions regarding Microsoft) is suggesting this E3 we keep our eyes out for a Slim 360 that will be bundled with Natal. This could be what finally puts Microsoft ahead in the console wars. Even more hsocking si the rumor that a certain Konami formally Sony exclusive title could be making an appearance. Fanboys don't drool too much, let's wait and see.
Bungie and Activision Join Forces

Bungie has been producing franchies for Microsoft (while franchise anyway) for quite some time. Bungie's time with Microsoft has come to an end and they have signed a 10 year contract with Activision to bring more games (all right just Halo) to consoles beyond the PC and 360. Industry experts are fearful for Activision recalling Infinity Ward leaving the publishers the first moment they had. No matter the case, Microsoft Game Studios need to come up with something epic fast.

Console systems are obviously played on television screens, so it's safe to assume that the players have at the very least cable. Yet it seems necessary to push technology to it's ridiculous and redudant limit. There will be a DVR, excuse us, Personal Video Recorder. This service will be available stateside by next year.

The net is a buzz with the grocery list of features that are to be baked into the iPhone 4.0 OS launch this summer, but Adobe, Microsoft and Sun, have been given a gesture by Jobs unlike the type used in the OS. In an effort to thwart any backdoor porting of other programming environments over to iPhone 4.0, Apple has tweaked their iPhone Developer Program License Agreement to prohibit the dev of apps using "an intermediary translation or compatibility layer or tool,". So much for CS5 Flash.

Why not a touch screen PC. It will be rumored to use the LTPS (Low Temperature Poly Silicon) LCD technology, in layman that's the same touch technology as the iPhone. Epext a $1000 price range.

It's not news, there are risks with hacks. Those gambles are included when jailbreaking an iPhone. The news here is that malicious apps that once could only target jailbroken phones could potentially effect any iPhone. The kicker? Experts are not in the least surprised. There is proof of concept apps that can steal all data in your iPhone and send it to the creator of the malware. Even with Apple's scrutiny of accepting Apps, Appe's reviewers can be tricked by enabling what seems to be a legitimate function for an iPhone, only to have the spyware have an activation time before causing damage.

The details have not been made public, but it seems Psystar has made an argument shifting blame onto their customers. Yet there seem to be loop holes in the case currently allowing Snow Leopard to be installed. It will be insteresting to see where the case goes and the effect of the DMCA on the case.
